Merry Christmas Eve!!! Today was a very special day for our family as you would imagine. For years Tim and I have dreamed of the day that we would enjoy Christmas with our children. Our hearts could not be more full as we have treasured so many precious moments with Micah the past few days. To see Christmas through the eyes of a 10 month old is incredible. Every single time Micah sees the Christmas tree his face beams and he gets so excited. Maybe we'll keep the tree up year round!
Highlights of Christmas Eve:
-Worshipping our Savior's birth as a family - Micah was such a sweetie during the service and throughly enjoyed the Christmas songs.
-Micah taking a nap at 4:30 so he could stay up later for the festivities
-A yummy steak dinner - compared to the usual screeching and screaming during dinner all we heard from Micah was "mmmm" with every bite of steak : )
- Reading the Christmas story together
-Witnessing Micah crawl and fumble all over the furniture while opening presents - what a maniac he was!
What Micah got for Christmas this year:
A shiner on his forehead during a much needed but not taken nap (crib - 1, Micah - 0)
A bad cold - praying doesn't turn into an ear infection
Little Tykes xylophone
Baby Einstein cd's (very helpful for long car rides)
"Brown Bear, Brown Bear...." by Eric Carle
bath toys
Daddy reading Luke 2:1-20 before opening gifts
Let me help you with that, Daddy.
One of Micah's favorite gifts - books!
Tim showing off a shiny box of cologne
Had to share this - Micah's hair is getting so long and quite curly - just love those baby curls!!
To touch or not to touch....
Micah with his very special gift - a Radio Flyer Wagon from Grandpa and Grandma Lawson. This gift has very special meaning for Tim and I. In a conversation between Sandy and myself a few years ago, she had shared that she looked forward to the day when she would be able to meet her Grandchild. She had also promised me that when God blesses us with a child that she and Herm wanted to give him/her a wagon. We miss Sandy greatly and would love for her to know her precious Grandson. But we know and trust that in Christ, they will be able to meet in the presence of our Savior.
A wonderful Christmas gift for parents with little ones - an awesome single serve coffee maker. Thus far our favorites are Butter Toffee (mmmm), French Vanilla, and Pumpkin Spice.
Forget the mug!

Oooh I am jealous of your coffee maker!
