Christmas 2012 - Part 2

Christmas Eve and Day of 2012 was a lovely time and we surely enjoyed being together as a family. To see Christmas through Micah's eyes is such a joy and blessings. Some of his Christmas favorites this year include: the advent calendar, singing Christmas songs ("Away in a Manger," "Go Tell it on the Mountain," & "O Christmas Tree" just to name a few), driving around to look at Christmas lights, eating Christmas cookies, seeing the Christmas Nativity at Westside,  and watching his first movie "The Polar Express" (a drawn out 5 night ordeal).
Handsome guy right before Christmas Eve service. Good thing he is so cute because his behavior during church was one for the books! Let's just say a long chat was had in the car on the way home.  : )
The smirks say it all.

Even though Christmas Eve is one of Daddy's busiest nights of the year, we were able to treasure our time together. Our evening meal included vegetable soup, shrimp cocktail and Christmas colored rolls.
And of course we opened a few gifts that Santa brought while we were at church.

Happy Birthday Jesus!!
Micah loved his nativity advent calendar and was so excited to put "Baby Jesus" up! Yay!

Micah was exhausted on Christmas Eve and was in desperate need of bedtime so the better half of his gift was given on Christmas morning. Once he walked down the steps, he bolted for the table and wasted no time putting the train on the track.
