In late January, our family began the very intense and exciting journey of potty training! I had read up on a few potty resources, bought all the necessities, and prayed long and hard about if/when to start Micah. Of course, there were some fears about starting his training before he was even two but he showed so much interest in being a big boy. So, we took the plunge! It was a long and exhausting first several days (for Tim and I, that is) but we all stuck with it and boy are we glad we did! He was and continues to be SO PROUD of himself whenever he uses the potty. Of course, he is also delighted to receive a jelly bean after a successful potty break. It took several days for Micah to truly get the hang of it and tell us when he needed to use the potty, but now he has got the hang of it and is a potty star!

Potty bootcamp.... we had a few successes and a few messes... not too bad!
Ben (Daddy's old baby) was such a good friend and was Micah's potty buddy
No pants Super Bowl party for Micah!
A message sent to Tim after a big success
Emmett is an awesome friend and cheerleader!
Best Buddies
The theme for Micah's potty party was "Micah's Potty Train." For the first weekend, the whole first level was decked out with train stuff (train fort, Micah's potty cabin, etc.) My attention was solely given to Micah during training so unfortunately I spaced snapping some shots of it all! My floors are thanking me : )
Success!!!!
" Hooray! I filled my potty chart!"
