Florida Vacation 2013

After months of planning and dreaming, our family ventured out on our first big vacation. Our destination was beautiful St. Petersburg, Florida. It was such a nice relaxing time and many special memories were made that will be cherished for years to come.

Sunshiny Florida, here we come!

Our first two days were a little too chilly to spend the full day on the beach... so we hit up the local mall. Micah quickly spotted the children's ride area... of which his favorites were the green jeep and ice cream truck.

View from our room... not too shabby to wake up to and end the day with this view!
Good morning snuggles
Another highlight of our trip was putt putt golfing. It was a beautiful day and Micah was a super golfer... especially for a 2 year old! Midway through our time, we had the opportunity to feed live alligators!  Such fun!
One of Micah's favorites lately - standing on the big red balls at Target. This truly makes his day... every time.

What vacation would be complete without a trip to our favorite fast food restaurant??
Can you tell what word is on Micah's face? One of the workers gave Micah a little stuffed cow and apparently the writing on it didn't stick too well.
Micah loved Mrs. Cow and as we were leaving he shouted across the restaurant, "I love you, Mrs. Cow!"
Micah definitely had a blast at the beach... until he got sand on his hands or water in his eyes, nose or mouth. Thankfully, he made quick recoveries. We also enjoyed some time at our hotel pool where Micah got to try floaties for the first time... let's just say that swim lessons are in order soon!

Daddy and Micah posing together after a yummy breakfast time together.

Thanks to one of Tim's dear pastor friends and his family, Tim and I were able to enjoy a night just the two of us. We had a wonderful time and loved watching the sunset. 7 years ago to the day, we took a trip Florida (before our engagement) and watched the sunset together. What a journey we have been on together since then?! One things for sure, there is no one else I'd rather spend the rest of my life with.
Look Dad and Mom, I ordered AND ate FISH!!!!
Love him!!!

Our last full day in Florida, Drew & Sarah Ross & family were so kind to take us out on a boat adventure. We enjoyed a picnic lunch together on Shell Key Island and got to search for lots of treasures on the beach.

Our last night in Treasure Beach & watching the sunset. We all had an amazing time together and hope to take many more family vacations as special as this one!
