On November 3rd, we celebrated Micah's Forever Family Day by treating him to his first Coldstone experience (chocolate ice cream with M&M's, of course). How blessed we have been by Micah. We thank the Lord above and his entire Birth Family for allowing Tim and I the privilege to raise this big-hearted, bright, and fun little boy.
November 3rd, 2011
We now celebrate Shiloh's Forever Family day on November 14th, the day he and one other embryo were transferred in me. Although we mourn the loss of all of our embryos that are not with us, we trust they are in the best care of their Heavenly Father.
What a difference a year makes!!! We too thank Jesus and Shiloh's Genetic Family for the gift of parenting this adorable, fun-loving, and snuggly little one.
The basketball star! Micah had his first 6 game season of basketball in November and December. Although basketball may not be his favorite sport, he definitely improved quite a bit and loved having his Daddy as one of the coaches. Let's just say that Micah preferred to distance himself from most of the action during the games but slowly as the season progressed became a little more comfortable. Micah finished the last game with his first bucket!! Way to go Micah!!
Loving some Mommy and Shiloh snuggle time!
Cool guy Micah
What a blessing it is to live somewhat close to some of our family. Grandma and Grandpa Ahlman have loved taking care of these two cuties a few times so Tim and I can have some much needed dates.
Tim and Shiloh (in a milk coma!). For the first several months of Shiloh's life, Tim graciously took the evening dream feeds, so I could get a head start on my bedtime. Thank you, dear Tim!
Be still, my heart!
Shiloh is growing SO fast! At three months of age, he rolls all over the place, got his first two teeth (3.5months) and continues to sleep through the night. What a sweet and easy going baby he is!
Of course, Super Micah had to get in on the picture time too!
What a blessed Momma I am?
A new found favorite for Shiloh - his feet! Also, he loves being naked. At all of his diaper changes and when on the floor he immediately brings both of his feet to his mouth (he's so bendy!) Another favorite is before bathtime, he LOVES watching himself in front of the mirror and jumping over and over and over...
On a sunny and warm November day, we decided to take a nice drive up to Lookout Mountain. What a beautiful view and even better company - Shiloh is sound asleep in the Bob during this photo.
Quality brother time
Shiloh loves his exersaucer. The baby contraption has now been through 7 Ahlman and Lawson kiddos... I'd say its got some mileage from them!
Some pretty cute pilgrims.
The boys helping me make some Thanksgiving pies.
The super-cute sous chef and taste-tester.
Bourbon pecan pie, cranberry apple (or as Tim called it, Crapple pie) and the classic pumpkin pie
This year we celebrated Thanksgiving with the Klepacki and Ross Family. What a joy to live so close to Tim's old friends. We always enjoy getting our families together and having a good time.
The tradition continued this year as we set up our Christmas decorations on Black Friday. Can you believe this will be Micah's 4th Christmas already?!?!
Cuties!
