Busy little Lawsons

Cycle 3, Round 2. What a joy, privilege to be welcomed into a community with like-minded families. This is our sixth year of Classical Conversations and my first year of tutoring in an official capacity. While it has consumed more of my time and energy, I am so thankful for this role as it has made me a better teacher at home.

Micah and I also began our first year of the Essentials Program. While there is a heavier work load with writing and grammar, we are learning so much!

I have a rowdy and sweet bunch, they keep me on my toes!

One of my favorites parts of the CC Community day - Opening. Prayer, pledges, hymn and patriotic song, and a sweet family presentation.

What a joy to see the kids all playing together, even if it is just for a few short moments, it really blesses my heart to see their relationships developing.

One thing they all share in common - a love of rough housing with their parents. Ha!

Zoom piano lessons with Mrs. Hannah in the dollhouse! While it's not our first choice and some weeks one boy would much rather be building , continuing on with the boys piano lessons has been great for them.

Little Miss Noelle Ann doing her "school work." Most days she can be found doing some sort of coloring/drawing and is quite possessive and intentional with her art supplies and skills.

I would have got a pic of Emmy, but as it would happen, stomach flu hit our family on day 1 of school! It was a doozy for some of us but thankfully it was short-lived.

An image worth 1,000 word and feelings. This was our families first time (all of us together) in the church in over 5 months. Just on a Sat afternoon helping Daddy set up. While our worship had been open for worship since June, there was no nursery. Since I am solo on Sunday AM's during worship, I usually switch which girl will be in the nursery and which will be in worship with the boys and I. Following this time in church, I was lead to bring all 4 with me (nursery or no nursery) and it was the best, hard decision. We did it for 3 whole months until the nursery returned. While I didn't not get much out of worship, the act and time in worship far outweighed it all. "It is good to be in the house of the Lord!"

Some time of "rest and recovery" at one of our neighbors cabins in Eagar, AZ. We were incredibly grateful and ready for some time away, just the 6 of us, after a hard season of Covid.

Guess what was the boys favorite activity there???

This little sweetie pie is growing up too fast. What a nurturing/mama heart she has, even at a young age! Her favorite babies right now are Gabby and CribBaby

SIX YEARS OLD (or 16, if you ask him)!!! This boy... while incredibly feisty, this boy has the biggest heart. He cares deeply and shows his affection readily. Super smart (especially with math!) and competitive. He is always ready for a good card/strategy game. An excellent Lego builder, usually going rogue and building with his own creativity. A lover of audio adventure/mystery books. He still loves snuggling mama, helping Daddy with projects and being a protective big brother. His favorite dessert is usually whatever treat he happens to be eating at that moment and has THE BEST belly laugh! Mac n' cheese and chix pot pie are his usual dinner requests. What a joy and honor to be part of this miracle boys life!
